Branch Manager
Some of you may already know that I've been "selected" to be the new CMF 18/37 Enlisted Branch Manager at HRC in Alexandria, VA.
I will be traveling to the DC Metro area in a couple of weeks for a visit, (frau accompanying). If anyone is in the area and up for a beer let me know.
BTW, I'll be taking on this tour un-accompanied and looking for a decent place that wont break the bank so if you have or know of a rental property in the a/o, I may be interested. My PCS timeframe is in January.

Will a dozen red roses work on you as it did in the past .
A number of flower shops in the area keep a special lady well supplied with flowers years ago.
I got a sad smile and a shake of the head. She told me I was stuck but my two freinds were off to the 1st when it reactivated.

You should check Craig's List for furnished sublets - it might save you some hassle and there are some pretty good deals sometimes. www.craigslist.org

Looks like I'm going to take my trip on the 17th now. I'm sure while I"m traveling back and forth to Bragg we could get a beer. Dugans Pub in Pinehurst?

I'll check the board at work once your date gets closer, if you haven't locked anything in. If someone in the community can get a trusted agent in their place the prices are more forgiving, otherwise it is VERY expensive to live in N.VA/DC. You said you are coming unaccompanied - will you get the N.Va rate though? It's higher and makes a considerable difference.

I will get the Metro BAH rate which will help out a bit. I'll still probably be living fairly spartan, but really only need a small 1br place to store my gear and crash.
