Let the Regualar Season Begin!
I'm not into all the hype surrounding the first NFL game of the season with the Rolling Stones and whatever else going on, but I'm sure glad it's time to start again. I would like to see someone else win the Super Bowl, namely the Seahawks!
who's everyone's favorite teams?

I just want to make sure I don't come in last in our family Fantasy Football League. I do not want to get this again.

The Miami Dolphins is my favorite team; have been since 1973. Yeah, they're horrible right now, but I could never turn my back on them. Ever the eternal optomist, I think that they'll win 9 games this year.
As for the overall season, I'm glad that it's starting! I love football. I think we'll see Indianapolis and Philadelphia in the Superbowl, with the Colts taking it all in a wild, high-scoring shootout type of affair.

I won't become disillusioned this early on, but I hope the Chiefs clean up their act and make some headway from last year. Been a fan (small scale) all my life. This year is my year to catch up on one of the AFC's better teams.
Radar Rider, are we a bit of a Closet Colts Fan? Every one has to have a back-up. (I see your page has Denver and Dallas)
Is your family all Dolphin fans? If so you're lucky. I've got an old co-worker who has 3 boys (all in the higher education stages) that have different teams. He's been a Patriot and Vikings fan all his life, 2 of the boys bandwagoned the Cowboys dynasty and the remaining boy likes the Raiders. His wife wouldn't watch unless Jeff Gordon was present and only if they had picture in picture so she could look at him. It's the only reason she watches NASCAR.
It's one of those households we don't visit in the fall much. Every man has to have his jersey and ball and chips and wings and.....well you get the idea. God forbid any of the teams play at the same time with only one big screen.

The Colts will win the Superbowl.

LMAO -- nice trophy!
I'm in one of those too, with my cousins in Philly. They and their friends take Eagles players several rounds too early -- LOL.

Nah, the Broncos are my "main" back-up team. The Cowboys is my NFC team.
I'm not a big fan of the Colts (they slaughtered the Broncos in the playoffs two years in a row), but I do admire their offense. They are simply fun to watch, as they almost are constantly moving the ball. That's why I think this will be the year that they win the Superbowl.

Unashamed Denver Broncos Fan!
Radar keep the Broncos near............Gus Ferotte starting for your Dolphins is not a good thing. Hopefully Saban can turn some things around but............oh that offense.
Unashamed Raider Hater.
And in the category of DID YOU HEAR?
San Francisco turned Jerry Rice down on his plans to retire as a 49er. They said that they were concentrating on winning this year and did not want to lose that focus. In five years it will be interesting to see who inducts him into the Hall of Fame.............probably Joe Montana or Steve Young. Maybe George Seifert.........But the SF organization will take it in the shorts during the induction. In my not so humble opinion.

But who do you WANT to win?
I'm a Seahawks fan because I grew up in the area (Tacoma) but I've also been a Steelers fan since I was 7 years old.

Always been a Packers fan Gonna try to see them play Christmas Day in Lambeau against the Bears.
I'm not counting on them making it all the way this year, but I'm dying for Favre to have a killer year.
And I'd like to see randy moss lose the ability to walk.

I've been a die hard Steeler fan since my childhood.
It appears they may be in for a rough season this year. Big Ben looks extremely confused in the pocket, and continues to make errant throws. I can't tell you how many passes he sailed in the pre-season (His pre-season passer rating was around 30 ). Worst case scenario, Big Ben is benched after we go 0-3 with little sign of life on the offense, then Charlie Batch is put in to try and salvage the season.
Duce and Bettis are both injured, so for all of you Fantasy Football owners, I would draft Willie Parker asap. He is a huge fantasy sleeper this year. He has great speed and elusiveness, very reminiscent of Barry Sanders (not nearly as good though)
Superbowl pick: Colts edge the Vikings in an exciting shootout. Probably not a plausible pick (I could start on either teams defense )....but it would be fun to watch.

I am a suffering Browns fan. They'll be tough enough late to win 6 games, which ironically would actually be a good year. They'll win one or two they should lose, and vice versa.
I picked the Colts somewhere on this site a month or so ago and, barring injury, they should be in Detroit to beat.......Philly.

Sigi, I bet the Irish win was good for what ails you (Cleveland).
