This should of never happened...
Video is graphic but not so much more than what we have all seen before. Just be forewarned.
I am also afraid to say that this couldn't happen here but it has and some people still haven't learned.

Anybody have an idea of where this may have taken place?

Great .wav file!
I have had officers walk up behind me when I was setting up x-rays, etc. They while standing there said "Boy, I wouldn't do your job, etc."

Let me guess.
You were the only one armored up when they were standing there and said it?

This reminds me of Darwinesque officers in my department who will walk up to your newly recovered evidence and begin toying with it (you can insert your choice of evidence as I have seen it happen from guns to drugs). "hey man, whatcha got there?". Idiots.

This is the personality type that reaches into a rocky recess without looking and comes out backwards with a rattlesnake attached to an appendage.
They'll have a hard time learning. Kinda like the kids in Tom Clancy's "Shadow Warriors". These kids would roll landmines down the hill to see how long it would take for them to detonate. A few died and some were saved by some QP's while they did humanitarian assistance in Kurdistan during the first Gulf War.
When we first rolled into Iraq the looters where going haywire over all of the things they could get their hands on. Anyone remember looters coming up sick after they looted the Al Tuwaitha power plant? Anybody see an Iraqi local try to turn a dollar by selling you munitions out of the backseat and trunk of a taxi. It happens in Afghanistan too. I have seen it and I tell you that is one scary site to see.
Sorry for the slight bump.

I can confirm for you - Ankara Turkey 2003. Conference on Terrorism at the main Police Admin Building in Ankara. Janitor finds a bag left unattended inside a room adjacent to where confrence is to begin in 45 mins. Janitor goes to summon help and bag cranks off. Post blast is conducted by ALL bomb techs and EOD supervisors already there on scene for conference. Local terrorsit group is suspected.
2 hrs later, SAME janitor finds a second identical bag and picks it up, walks it out of the building and flings it into the courtyard. This time bomb techs and EOD personnel walk out of confrence to identical bag and begin to monkey ---- same. RF energy abounds as people on cell phones and motorola radio on lead tech (Mr. S.S.) are utilized. Lead tech decides to hand enter to render safe - bag has other ideas. No one killed - two WIA pretty bad.
Stupid is as stupid does.
