Ship Out In 2 Weeks
I'm leaving 2 weeks from tomorrow with an 18X contract. Going to Ft. Benning first, where I have been told I will come to know sweat, sunburn, and mosquitos on an intimate level. I can't wait.
I am excited and proud to have the opportunity to be tested to see if I have what it takes to become a part of this incredible community. Thanks to all who have posted advice and taken the time to share their knowledge and experience on here. I have learned a lot, but I guess the most important lesson I've learned is that I don't know ANYTHING yet. But I hope to learn.

Thank you! And thank you for the incredible book. You know, my dad read it in one weekend and said it was one of the best books he'd ever seen, he felt like there was so much good advice in it, even for someone who wasn't trying to go into SF. He didn't really know a lot about SF prior to reading it, now he's as excited as I am.
