CPT Brian Chontosh USCC
This was refreshing to wake up to. I know this isn't new since IIRC it occured on the original push to Baghdad. We could say that his initial reaction was classic "by the book" IAD -- attack the attacker. All too many fail to react this way. What I am referring to as MOH material is his actions, single handedly clearing out 200 M of trench using his own weapons then Iraqi weapons when his ammo was expended. Audy Murphy stuff. This is MOH material There is still a chance. I have seen DSCs and in this case Nacy Crosses upgraded.

That guy needs a wheelbarrow to carry a certain part of his anatomy. Awesome stuff thanks for sharing. Question though. If he was ordered will he still be eligible for the MOH? I thought that there were certain guide lines for it. Not saying one bit he doesn't deserve it, don't get me wrong.

I really don't know. I think some DCSs were upgraded. They were almost interim awards while waiting for Congress to act. I think!!

Fabulous perspective. As long as this information makes it out, regardless of the major news outlets, we'll at least be doing something right.

I heard a rumor that he went to blade in getting some of those captured weapons.
Hard as woodpecker lips.

I was thinking almost the same thing. After what I've read the man deserves all America can give. Hard as nails.
