HP Precisionscan LT

i have been having problems with my scanner. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software, and dug through the FAQ and troubleshooting but i'm just not seeing anything.

The problem is, when I scan a color photo, a yellow and green "bar" appear all the way down the photos. It also forms on the white area where there is no photo but still shows up because it's part of the scan bed. Sometimes the yellow and green bars vary in widths, but always show up, and are always there.

It doesn't happen in black and white, but if I try and move the image to color, they just show up.

any ideas? BTW i'm running Windows 98 if that helps.

The included software you have with your HP may only contain version 1.0

I found a link that has a driver update that brings it to 2.0

Not sure if this will fix your problem but it's worth a shot.

Have you tried the HP support page? Their support page is usually pretty good.

ATI X800 video accellerator, well worth the money.
