simple question about hiking boots

Hi,
I'm planning to buy hiking shoes (Danner Agitator from LF). Is that better to buy a size that fits 2 pairs of socks, or do I wear it just like normal running shoes?

Thank you, and Happy Spring!

Put the socks on your feet that you will be hiking with, and go buy your boots. If your normal walk configuration is double thick wollies, put those on and get your boots. Likewise, if you wear knee high nylons and Thorlos, wear those and get your boots. The fit will obviously be different for each.

Good luck.
