How nice. A handheld microphone for interviewing terrorist on the street.

Strictly speaking, anthropologically, she is exhibiting one of primates most unusual adaptions, which is the systematic study of humanity, with the great goal

to understand our evolutionary origins, our distinctiveness as a species, and the great diversity in our forms of social existence across the world and through time
Especially, with regard to tool making and use of those tools in the environment.

Did the USBATT MFO tour in the Sinai with 1/504 back in '93. Nothing like seeing young, fit, IDF chicks come down to the beach in Eilat and strip down to their panties to get some sun whist carrying their carbines. The titty fairy was very generous to the young ladies. The young paratroopers appreciate that.

Still working on arming their populace

In the tales that emerged from 7 October, there was only one Kibbutz among many that managed to access a "weapons locker" and kicked ass to rally their members and successfully defend their camp. Israel has had, to my mind, a policy of limiting firearms ownership in stark contrast to their oft-stated resolve to survive in the face of constant persecution. Long application & approval processes thwart the average citizen that isn't involved in the security of schools, shopping centers, or being under presumption of threat, etc.

They are apparently taking steps to fix that. Unlike the US with nearly half the households having a gun, until recently it was only about 2.5% in Israel.

I find that an interesting attitude on firearms since they have had wars on their home turf ever since the state of Israel came into current it's existence. Plus they have struggled constantly with terrorist.

Yessiree. I've found it curious since I heard of it. I went along for years figuring everyone had a long-gun at home and traipsed around with a G19 on their hip.

Wel it certainly wasn't that way 45 years ago when even an American, (non-immigrant but with suitable credentials), could get a carry card. I recall many more of my Israeli friends packing then.

I guess 45 years of soft time make for soft men.
