Veterans swindled out of thousands in the name of God

The House of Prayer had been approaching troops for nearly two decades, promising them a religious community that would understand them. But former members now say Denis and his church were in the business of bilking veterans out of their service benefits.

My First Sergeant onetime told me to stay away from the used car lot salesmen and money lenders outside the Main Gate. Didn't say anything about the churches though.

That is not in the name of God...that is simply a con man. Con men can use any device, but it does not reflect upon sincere or devout belief.

Do not conflate belief or religious belief with those that denigrate anything to make a buck.

This is like those that pretend to be warriors, stolen valor, they do not denigrate real warriors in the least. They are charlatans.

Atheist's love these events because is supports, wrongly, their position. They ignore the con.

Just read through the entire story, there's another in the Fayetteville Observer. Makes me want to smite them repeatedly until there's nothing left to smite!
