Great looking compass man - perfect for stashing on your person somewhere or jamming it in a survival tin.

best wrist compass that I ever used was made by Tekna.

sure would like to find a new one. I guess they went out of business....or something.

I have another one now....I think it was made by...Brunson? I forget. It is ok. Not as good as that old Tekna.

Question

Pattaya Sir,
I'd assume the mini compas is liquid (oil) filled, is that correct?

and speaking of mini and/or wrist compass, do any of the operators have good things to say about the Casio Pathfinder Solar Powered Triple Sensor, as far as tactical usability?
I'm skeptical because of its bulkiness and I have yet to read an elaborate review about its digital compass performance/resilience, and other functions as well.

One of its type were mentioned briefly in other threads

It's not liguid or oil filled. That's one of the reasons I like it so much. It won't develope a bubble at high altitudes.

Couldn't tell you about the Casio. I'd stick with a Silva Ranger. But then again, I punched my land nav card along time ago.

I carry one in my Spec Ops brand wallet in the little secret compartment. A good feeling to have to know it is in there, just in case. I got mine from TAD Gear

http://www.tadgear.com/index2.html

they also make a survival tube thing that the compass fits in the end cap.
