The Obama Quote and the coming advance of Socialist Democratic leadership dumping on Joe, without doubt is the party setting up the scapegoat to survive the brutal reprisal the Taliban is going to administer to those who opposed them.
It will be interesting watching who stands for the women and children, the squad? I think not. The UN Human rights commission, not likely. Anyone who is not sporting a rag beard and hair is subject of having worked with others.
My brother from a different mother reminded me of the VN exit, stating he remembers watching the fall of Saigon, crying and screaming at What a fucking waste it all was, he had a right to that: SS, PH, CIB, a BTDT guy, he said this is different, we were drafted, these men volunterred, they were invested and betrayed. it will take decades to repair the damage, and it will only get worst.

I wonder how this affects recruitment. Between the disgraceful recruitment video and the disillusionment effect of the exit, who wants to put their lives, limbs, marriage, sanity and so on on the dotted line?
I admit I had to turn off and tune out the news. It got too painful. Not surprising since MAJ Gant's One Village at a Time eerily foresaw what transpires now back in 2009, but still heartbreakingly painful

If I were a betting man, I would say overall it will have no effect on recruitment. Haven't you heard? We're totally inclusive, hell we'll even pay for those surgeries you've been thinking about. Do a few years, and we'll pay for that liberal college degree. Already have it?...Hell we'll help cover the cost of those pesky loans that weren't forgiven. No, the long-term effects on recruitment and retention remain the same as they've ever been, how's the economy doing? and/or what did you parents instill in you growing up? A sense of commitment and debt owed? or a sense of entitlement?

Recruitment?
Who in the democratic party cares about recruitment?
The army is always 'too big' there is always 'too much' spent on the military and besides - the only people that are mad about whats going on right now are deplorable.
Good riddance to them all. What we need is a more streamlined, SMALLER, and most importantly more LOYAL force.
This is the kind of leadership that builds the kind of force that democrats need.
You jokers need to wake up and read the tea leaves.
