Photo size
Kyo, I'm going to throw up some photos and they are too big for posting here. Any ideas on how to shrink them down?

Quick and dirty way is to use microsoft office picture manager. If you have Office 2002 or better it's included in the software.
Here's a shareware app that can be downloaded - http://www.download.com/EasyImage-Li...ml?tag=lst-0-3
If you want, send them to me and I'll give an assist with them.

Not Kyo but....
Casey,
Try opening the photos in Microsoft Photo Editor.
--Click the <Image> tab at the top of your screen.
--Click <resize>.
---in the pop up window under units click <pixels>.
---in the same popup window under width set it to 640 height should auto adjust Then Click <ok>.
--Then click <file> then <Save as...> in the pop up window underfile name re-name your photo. Something like "(original name here)-2".
That should do it for you if not e-mail them to me and I can re-size them for you.
Joe

The maximum size limits in pixels for this site is 600 height and 800 width. The Team Sergeant set those so don't complain to me.
That means BOTH numbers have to be under the size limit independantly or it will not upload. Just a note when your resizing.
Set the scale in your photo resizer to pixels as suggested above by Smokin' Joe. Most of the time the default scale is set in inches as that is how we think of pictures usually (ex: 4x6 inches, or 5x7). Once you click pixels instead of inches, you don't have to worry about pixels/inch settings or anything else when trying to get it right.

Casey you are still ahead of me, I bought my first computer in 98, I still think that there is a button on this thing which will cause it to self destruct.

you can also use online photo editors like www.myimager.com. It has basic editing capabilities, and resizing is one of them. You have to save the resulting pic to your hard drive though, cuz they erase all the pics from their server at midnight

If you are running Windows XP (Home or Pro) you can get a power toy to resize images. Once installed you just simply right click-->resize image
Mihov's is a great one that is free and works. It will also convert pictures from one format to another if you need that kind of toy.
