Happy Independence Day, Texas

Happy Independence Day Texas,,

March 2 marks the 185th anniversary of Texas independence. On this date in 1836, 59 delegates crowded into the tiny river town of Washington and passed, without debate, a declaration written primarily by George Childress that proclaimed Texas a republic independent from Mexico. On March 5 and 6, the occasion will be celebrated at the original spot, Washington-on-the-Brazos State Historic Site, about 80 miles northwest of Houston.

Texas HB 1359.

It is a truth who's time has come. if this bill fails now, the truth of it will not go away and it will happen eventually, and history tending to repeating itself. Soon as the first state leaves, others will follow suit.

It is going to happen eventually, sooner likely than later with the current state of things.
