Having no idea as to the curriculum at the War College that's a question I cannot answer. My take was that Mr. Carroll has a perverted perspective on the events of 1/6 and appears to ignore the ANTIFA and Spencer Rapone's of the US. He is essentially another Chris Wray. Or maybe Mr. Carroll is just an opportunist looking to cash in on the latest madness.
We really don't know what happened on 1/6, only one person is known to have been killed due to direct action (though there is a rumor another died when security pushed them off a balcony) and the other 4 died of natural causes (maybe they were COVID deaths). It appears a bunch of people peacefully roamed around the Capital Building and enter offices. The Pipe Bomber that Chris Wray cannot find actually dispersed their goodies on 1/5, not 1/6.
There are so many unknowns about 1/6 like how many people were in attendance for the event, and how many actually participated in the festivities in the Capital building. Thus it is impossible to draw any educated conclusions other than it was a far cry from any of the BLM/ANTIFA events we have witnessed over the past 4-8 years.
Mr. Carroll's line of thought appears to be inline with a recent Military Times poll (
based on the responses of 1,630 active-duty Military Times subscribers) that claims:
Quote:
More than one-third of all active-duty troops and more than half of minority service members say they have personally witnessed examples of white nationalism or ideological-driven racism within the ranks in recent months, according to the latest survey of active-duty Military Times readers.
