State of the Union
Tonight is reminiscent of of how President Reagan used to make me feel during his State of the Union addresses. He always made us feel better about ourselves and especially about our country. Hard to argue with the facts and it is a shame that the other side of the aisle does not enjoy good news.

Maybe I just haven't been paying attention, but with GEN Milley and GEN McConville this seems like the first time I've seen the new uniforms being worn outside of publicity shots.

President Reagan is bloody hard to follow, even 30+ years later.
Good god that fella could give a great speech and throw in a few cheeky laughs.
President Trump just doesn’t resonate with the same gravitas and substance for me.

I have an undergrad degree in political science, and I feel like I just got a TBI with Iowa.
I need a few days to compose myself and recover from the brain damage before I even try to understand what happened.
All I know is it made my head hurt.
Of the lot, I have to say I like Buttigieg, Yang, and Gabbard as people, if not future Presidents.
I wouldn’t vote for them, but they seem like they have the character and integrity, if misplaced methods, for achieving the right outcome.

It all depends on who is willing to go down to the Crossroads and make the deal with the Devil.

The State of The Union, what a despicable display of childish behavior from that Botox Drunken Queen. It goes to show that the Dummocrats still cannot get over the fact that Trump is our President. What a bunch of cry babies and sore losers on the left. So much disdain, hatred and unprofessional lunacy from those Liptards. They should be tarred and feathered and marched through the streets. It's time to really get down to business and throw out the trash. Did you see the White Suited Feminist Section? The only thing they forgot was their Pink Vagina Hats.....Idiots.........

Disclosure: I like Trump and a majority of his policies.
I did not care for the theatrics such as making a guy a general, giving out a scholarship, having a soldier come on down and meet the wife and kids, the Limbaugh thing. I think the SOTU is getting carried away with these things and am afraid it will build in the next few SOTU speeches.
But I really despise the lefts inability to clap when a statement was made glorifying this country. I know it is because their buttt hurts from the beating they have taken over the last few years.
And I really object to the SOTH antics with the scowling cud chewing face and her role as the paper shredder.

Why some of these people are not run out of DC by angry mobs with torches and pitchforks... is beyond my comprehension.
What perplexes me even more is, there are voters out there that keep electing these... bungholes.
Every election, I get the same feeling. The feeling that I'd be happier hitting myself on both sides of my head with bricks, aka Monte Python... than actually vote for any of them. But, I still go out, and vote.
What's that saying about doing the same thing, over and over, and expecting a different result?
The EMP or Meteor can't get here fast enough. We so seriously need a hard reset.
Darwin used to take these people out of the gene pool. Now, they are free to breed at will, and are taken care of so they can populate the earth... with bungholes.

I am pretty sure the theatrics with the invited guests started with Reagan, so it is too late to bemoan this trend. And putting an actual, if anecdotal, face to an abstract policy like school choice or criminal justice reform is an even older political tactic. Frankly, I don't watch most political speeches, especially the SOTU, precisely because of all the theatrics and demagoguery.

Theatrics
I thought the President simply beat the left at their own game. They always play the feeling game and he checked every block at it. Poor Nancy was fuming that this guy she hates beat her at every turn.

More than a few observers have noticed that Nancy took the papers of the speech, made a half inch tear, then replaced them on the desk in front of her. That way, when the time came, she could make her dramatic "now I'm gonna tear up the speech" show.
No shit -- I mean this -- next year Donald should make sure that her copy of the speech is printed on Tyvek paper.
Waterproof, tear-proof, lightweight. Just use a LaserJet printer, a laser printer will melt the paper (guess how I know ).
