"In short, it is honoring the pillars of Heathenism, our ancestors and ancient Gods and way of life," the 34-year-old from Madison, Alabama, said in a release. "My personal faith is deeply tied to the modern warrior lifestyle that I have been able to live during my military career."
His polytheistic religion is based on Scandinavian-centric ancient beliefs and practices.

When you make exceptions for one religion and then another you must extend the exception to all religions.
That's why it was a bad decision way back then.

All I can say is that i am SUPREMELY RELIEVED that the Nevada Army Guard's 3665th Ordnance Company is so well protected by such a warrior. Heaven knows that Thor himself wouldn't challenged them now

The real question is that if having a beard is ok for some based solely on belief (aka personal preference) rather than on an actual safety issue, then why isn't ok for all?
