I was sitting on the mil side of the airport and we watched it take off. When it went down, our little group of 'expats' started talking about a possible shootdown.

Over the last week or so we had noticed a couple coalition aircraft using their chaff dispensers on apporoach into several LZs. Now the a insurgent group is claiming it. May be some truth to it.

RIP Brits.

The Brits flew 2 of my units infantry companies into Iraq on C-130's during the inital attack. Good blokes. Knew their jobs.
