SPR
Just got a new iron built. SPR type, which is the 5.56 precision rifle on the ODA.
This rifle is sub-moa with the right ammo, and runs like a charm. Santa gave me the parts to finish it off for Christmas.
If I get hooked up this week, I will break it in and render a report.
Who else has new toys? Fess up!

Only new toy here is a Trilux (Brit scope system) for my FN-LAR. Once this thing gets to cooking and stable, I'll post a few pics of some of the "choice" members of the the "arsenal".

I just built myself a SPRish type gun, and am waiting on my M496D from Gemtech.
All my other new goodies are all of the nylon type and thus not withing the perview of this fourm.
Will post pics upon return to Conus

Just stumbled on this thread from the Early days here.
TR - What Muzzle device is that? Looks Like an OPS brake, but I have been wrong once or twice (today)
How does it shoot? any new additions?

Yep, that is an OPS brake.
The barrel was not properly installed, so now I have a Lilja on it with a Phantom flash suppressor.
Also had to find the right load.
Current lower is running a JARD trigger.
Last time I shot it, I blew a nice ragged nine shot group which was just over 1/2 moa when I pulled the tenth round.
Decided to drop to five shot groups because my concentration was fading, got a group at .420" and the next was .410", so I would call it a half minute rifle on a good day. Pic of groups follows.

New Toy
Reaper,
I just picked up a Colt LEO rifle. Basically a M4 with a 16 inch barrel. Broke it in and zeroed it this past weekend.
Shoots nice.
I broke the bolt on my Bushmaster two weeks ago so I bought this Colt to have something to shoot until I get a new bolt.

Very nice toy!
Plus, outstanding use of a very marginal excuse to buy a new weapon!

Nice Job...
LOL
I was thinking the same thing TR. I am going to try that one on my wife.
" Honey... I am out of ammo for this Bushmaster of mine. I am going to run on down and buy a new Barrett .50 cal, so I have something to shoot until I can acquire some more of this hard to find .223 stuff. "

Excuse to buy a new gun
Hey, what ever works to get a new gun!
How about this one:
My wife: "Why do you need to buy that gun?"
Me: "Because I don't have one yet!"
Of course I did kind of paint myself in a corner. Now she says: "That looks just like the other four 1911's you have."
Women, they just do not understand!
Nice gun Reaper, what ammo do you plan to shoot?
