General Kelly's speech was one of the best, most authentic speeches I have heard in a long time. Well spoken and no teleprompter. Straight from the heart.

Job well done, General!

Unfortunately I fear it fell on deaf ears. The press will be back to their scorched earth form of reporting by nightfall. Most if not all of the fine members of the press had no concept or point of reference for what this fine man was saying.

Unfortunate.

I agree. With that said, sometimes getting out there and letting the world know that "you are not their punk" is all the satisfaction you may get. He did that today. I do like the way he referred to her as an empty barrel. She is a tool of the highest order and should be disgraced by anyone who can/could do it. Today...he did it!

Most of what normal Americans say falls on deaf ears of an indoctrinated, bull headed, agenda oriented, leftist press and politicians.

Thank you General Kelly.

Very difficult to reason someone out of an irrational point of view they weren't reasoned into in the first place.

So unimaginable that Gen. Kelly should have to relieve his son's death a second time to explain the pain a loving parent might be experiencing. How far has our country fallen...

The 1%

Very well said Sir!

Spoken from the heart, “the 1%” that many in America these days couldn’t care less for.

Tony...Thank you for posting that, the truth and it's reality can be inspiring. The last few days were the last straw for me with MSM. It was sickening what I read and today I had non of it nor will I for a while, their lies are over the line.

MOO is That Special Operations events should be clandestine and held back from these press vultures, lackey politicians and resisters as they have shown their true agendas and it doesn't include " Duty, Honor, Country". On the contrary they don't even seem to be concerned with their own trade, they conjure snake oil salesmen, carpet baggers, and cynical opportunists, and burn outs in my mind...sad indeed. Trading integrity and honor for imaginary gains even at the cost of their own constituency.

What an eloquent, emotional and heartfelt speech Ret. General Kelly gave. While I was watching him speak, I could not help it, but it just brought tears to my eyes. And it did look like he was holding back his own tears. It had to be so agonizing for him to bring back such memories of his own lose. He spoke from the heart, he spoke as a parent who lost a son in war, and as a General who sent people to fight and die for this Country.

He is correct in his assessment of the how the media, and some people in this country have eroded common decency and respect for those who paid the ultimate sacrifice; either for the sake of politics, or just by being self-serving ungrateful bastards.

He is a professional military man and addressed it as such...and a gold star Dad, and addressed it as such.

Every military person in the audience knew what he meant, knew what he'd say....you just waited for the words.

Those that use an event like this for political advantage are beneath contempt....they are pigs at a political trough and all to common today.

In times past there would have been a public/media outcry of foul...but not today.

What is sacred anymore in our Godless and self centered culture?

Anything?

...and that is sad....there was a time when there was a commonality of thought, it is how cultures survive.
