All Season? Snow & Ice? or spikes?
So, It's been 50 yrs sense I last drove in the snow,, and my new Cayenne GTS has 21 inch summer tires.. Nice & Wide, street legal Y rated semi-slicks..
I have been looking for a set of rims with all season or winters, that I can swap for the cold months.
I good friend suggested I get snow spikes for my summer tires and save the added cost..
Not to familiar with spikes,, says they easy to install,, sent me a couple pic of his installation..
Any one want to opine??

Hmmm.
I dunno JJ. I think the spiky end should be pointing the other way? Just a wild-@ss guess.
I drive on snow & ice about 5 mo out of the year. Let me know how those work out for you. I might try it.

I would get good all season radials and if you need to go out in big snowdrifts have an old beater truck with snow tires and a lot of weight in the back. Hate to wreck a nice SUV foolishly.
I drove in Wisconsin winters for 39 years.

SO,, Called my friend back,,
The one who suggested SPIKED tires for the winter snow..
Told him that his idea was not gonna fly.
After a couple minutes later,, he sends me an alternative suggestion..
Has anyone ever tried Dually's,, on their 911 Carrera Turbo??

I don't think the car will ever be great in the snow but having duallys would be worse than singles. The rear will continually want to ride up on the snow and lose traction.
Talk to dually truck drivers. From personal experience they seem about 10-20% worse than singles. I like the look though but still would prefer good all season radials with a good design for grabbing snow and with softer rubber to grip on ice.
