Mike Rose was approved for the MoH

FYI

All approvals, including time waivers signed by Congress, have been signed, sealed and delivered.

Just waiting on WH to call Mike to receive MoH.

Mike is standing by to stand by.

Mike earned the nomination from Operation Tailwind at CCC Sept. '70.

Long past due and most certainly deserved. Let's hope our government finally recognizes all the men who served in these covert operations.

Just read the article and wow, what an absolutely amazing SF Soldier.

Long overdue recognition indeed.

Thanks for sharing this PRB.

That is great news. The article also did a great job driving home the point that "the system" suppressed recognition for deeds of these men.

Also a good reminder that CNN was in the "fake news" business before the term fake news even existed. Hope they get some recognition too.

About time.

I joined the military, Rangers, and eventually SF to be like this man. I thank God everyday that I never was in it as deep as he was. I could only aspire to be like this man and so many others like him. Praise the Lord for unanswered prayers, and for working through men such as Mike Rose.

Jesus Cristo, Doc!

Just doing his job. Please. I'm glad you made it back. I am SURE the current President will have no problem signing off on this. I hope the others cited in the article are also honored. Goddamn politicians.

Bravo Zulu Sgt. Rose !!!!
Long overdue and well deserved.

On a side note, from the above article, looks as if they were reporting FAKE news even back in '98.

Quote:
Operation Tailwind stayed secret until 1998, when CCN and Time magazine erroneously reported that the mission’s aim had been to kill American defectors, and that the team had massacred hundreds of villagers while pilots dropped nerve gas.

Oh, there was a big hoo hah about that deal...60 Minutes (I believe) ran a lead show about this op with all of the bogus reports of chem weapons and assassination etc.....very popular with the liberal crowd.

My bad...it was actually ab earlier rendition of CNN fake news..

Arnett and CNN's "Tailwind" scandal in which he served as narrator of a false CNN NewsStand expose of how the U.S. supposedly used nerve gas to murder defectors in Laos during the Vietnam War. These items are from July of 1998. In April of 1999 CNN relieved Arnett.
