CNN, Fake news channel
Lol, nice to see the propaganda arm of the Democratic National Party is getting hammered again. As well as the fake news NYT's.
CNN’s Russia story debacle came at the worst possible time for the network
By Paul Farhi June 27 at 2:50 PM
Lex Haris, CNN’s investigations editor, traveled to a journalism conference in Phoenix last week. In hindsight, his timing was terrible.
While Haris was away, his group published a story on CNN.com that reported — citing a single anonymous source — that Senate investigators were looking into a meeting between a member of President Trump’s transition team, Wall Street financier Anthony Scaramucci, and an executive of a Russian investment fund before Trump took office. The story seemed to advance the narrative of ties between Trump campaign officials and people close to Russian President Vladi*mir Putin.
One problem: When challenged on the particulars of the story, CNN acknowledged that it couldn’t stand by it. It retracted it and apologized to Scaramucci on Saturday. On Monday, Haris and the editor and reporter of the piece, Eric Lichtblau and Thomas Frank, resigned from CNN.
The sequence of events led Trump to take a kind of victory lap on Tuesday. He turned to Twitter to bash CNN and other media outlets (including The Washington Post) that have aggressively reported on his associates’ connections to Russian officials during the 2016 campaign and pre-inaugural period.

Sarah Palin sues NY Times over editorial tying her to Giffords shooting
Published June 27, 2017
Fox News
Former Alaska Governor and vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin filed a lawsuit against the New York Times Tuesday over an editorial that tied her to the January 2011 shooting of an Arizona congresswoman.
Palin's attorneys claim that the paper defamed her in the June 14 editorial, published hours after House Majority Whip Steve Scalise, R-La., was shot and wounded while practicing with the GOP's baseball team in Alexandria, Va.
The editorial, attributed to the Times' editorial board and titled "America's Lethal Politics," initially linked Palin's rhetoric to the shooting that killed six people and wounded 13 others, including then-Rep. Gabrielle Giffords.
The paper posted a correction the next day admitting that "no such link was established."

It's refreshing to see a response to the garbage that has been put forth as news. Maybe, just possibly, MSM's pendulum has swung to it's apogee and will return to its roots of providing information. Or a second possibility, just an ignorant undisciplined child in need of hard lessons?

Only so they could cover the story.....
Kinda of like the jag off that uses a cell phone to capture a horrific event to post on social media instead of aiding the victims or calling for help.
I retract my previous statements. There is no hope for a certain mindset.

No need to dream TO! The reality is playing out before our eyes. Bannon said from the get go that MSM is the enemy. Trump has done a masterful job of circling them around the red herring Russia collusion and letting MSM marginalize itself.
Next target is the deep state. That is unfolding now vis a vis the Lynch-Clinton-Obama-Muelller investigations. Watch how the targeting of Flynn plays out. Going to get real interesting. All the while Trump will complete most of his legislative/regulatory reform agenda over the next 6-9 months. I will predict that all of this will solidify prior to the 2018 mid-terms.
What we need to focus on is how to make all of this permanent? IMHO I think it will take a Convention of the States. Would like to see that during a 2nd Trump term.

I'm wondering if I'm weighing the right factors in the balance. I'm inclined to believe that either the existing media outlets will clean house to survive the course that the agenda driven cycle has led them OR will these MSM corps go down the tubes completely and yield to reporting to suit a particular perspective.
Finance corps cycle between mergers/acquisitions and spinning off/pairing down. We'll see if media corps will start acquiring smaller media startups like blogs and second tier types, or start spinning off the programming to focus on their core viewers?
It's a strategic choice, and will be interesting watching it play out.
In the mean time, I agree 100%, it's like watching the big flush.

CNN & MSNBC should merge; they probably have enough deposits on pop bottles between 'em.

Not so funny is watching those same broadcast overseas, the results of which produce article's such as this: http://www.pewglobal.org/2017/06/26/...ps-leadership/
I would argue, having personally witnessed those broadcast, that CNN, MSNBC, and Google, conspire and act as a foreign/enemy propaganda service, to undermine the Trump administration and to further their globalist world view.
Recently, catered a dinner for the POTEU and a Crown Prince. They questioned whether or not the USA was headed for a civil war and its relationship with the US moving forward.
Never, has the 4th estate been so proactive in undermining an administration, its unprecedented. The 1960's and 70's pale in comparison.
From this small imoo, the enemy has cleared the gate and is in the process of institutional destabilization.

I don't and would not willingly tune in to watch CNN (and most all other MSN) but being that I travel a lot for work I spend an enormous amount of time in airports. Where, unfortunately they have a monopoly on broadcast service.
For the last two hours there has been a steady full frontal assault on anything Trump. He's waging war against the 1A and freedom of the press; he's waging war against Obama and the Democrats; he's waging war against women; he's waging war against 22-million low income earners who will lose all healthcare under the replacement for Obamacare (note, not the ACA or Affordable Care Act, no it's called Obamacare), he's waging war against Europe; and he and all his cronies are deep into the pockets of the Russians.
All the while he's hosting a $10,000,000 re-election dinner in one of his luxurious hotels. (Anyone want make a bet he raises more $10M? Anyone want to bet by tomorrow morning that Vlad P., must have personally donated $10M through back channels to a Trump associate not yet named by anonymous sources?)
When digging your grave, sometimes it helps when someone gives you a bigger shovel. Keep digging CNN - China and N. Korea need a more direct path to the USofA.

Penn, your intel is spot on and I can tell you for a fact that this is global. The neo-fascists (both left and right) have gained control of our educational system, nearly captured our government, and are highly organized and embedded at all levels to affect fundamental change towards globalism. The MSM is merely the propaganda arm of the neo-fascists.
There is, however, an insurgency building, but not quite as well organized yet. Brexit and the Trump victory are examples of the insurgency.
