The gunman was armed with a rifle and reportedly asked onlookers whether the baseball practice was held by Republicans or Democrats before opening fire.
He was shot before being taken into custody.

Retired Marine Corps General Jack Bergman, who was there on the field, just said on Fox News live that, " Had the security detail not been there, we would have had two choices; Duck and cover, or grab the bats and try to subdue the shooter."

And Edit to add: REP Jack Bergman is a Republican from Michigan. And he spoke very eloquently for someone that just went though 50+rounds of ammo fired on a damn baseball field at 0700, IMHO.

The ground truth is aptly illustrated by the image below, Many of us suffered through the previous administration and saw through all the rhetoric spewed out by the players mass media, and pollsters.
If liberals can't understand the damage they are doing to this country and it's system, if they can't understand the info in the image in the context of our system...Id say that speaks volumes, even to other liberals who still have the capacity for critical thought.
