Solid Western
If you find a downer movie therapeutic or enjoy Western classics like True Grit, Unforgiven, or Shane, give Logan a shot.
I saw Logan (several times) and it's a well-made, profound Western. It lingers long after the credit rolls. It has more in common with Johnny Cash songs and The Wrestler than other x-men movies. A solid tale about broken, flawed men thrust in a quest that just might offer redemption. Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart dig deep to their craft.
Never seen so many grown men with allergy symptoms  So you may want to leave the misses and gf's at home for this one

I thought it was really good, and very different from the rest of the X-Men movies. I loved Patrick Stewart's rendition of a senile, Alzheimer's stricken Charles Xavier. Hugh Jackman killed it as well. Even if you have never seen any of the other XMen movies, it's worth seeing.

Unless he grew up in ISIS country and see beheadings everyday I suppose...

Saw a video where the timeleline/life is broken down for the cinematic version of the Wolverine character.
Because of the character's role in Days of Future Past, he experiences 2 timelines.
IIRC, the character had about 290 years of life lived, most of it filled with violence.
Had to experience the deaths of countless friends/family, some more than once, and some by his own hand.
Jackman did an outstanding job.
His portrayal of weariness in Logan was remarkable.
