(CNN)Lance Cpl. Aaron Wixson is looking forward to the day he can attend the annual Marine Corps Ball in the outfit he feels most comfortable in.
Last Friday, he wore female Dress Blues to the gala at Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, California. But next year, Wixson hopes to trade in the female uniform for the iconic Dress Blues worn by men -- the gender he identifies with even though it's not the one on his birth certificate.
"I will feel that I am finally seen as who I really am," Wixson told CNN, going public for the first time with his gender transition, which is ongoing. "I will be 100 times more comfortable, physically and mentally -- which will allow me to really enjoy the ball."
He's getting closer to his goal thanks to the new military policy that allows transgender people to serve openly. The 20-year-old field artillery radar operator is one of the first transgender Marines to be formally recognized by his command as a man.

They all seem to say that and then, once they have changed, find that it is not really what they want either.
I think there is a reason that their suicide rates are so high.

The rates are higher for those who have undergone the transition than those who remain "intact" so to say. The fact remains you are never changing your gender, your DNA and other markers remain male/female. Argue as they may that they "feel" better the suicide rates beg to differ.
I do wonder how they can justify it as far as standards for MTF, they will always be stronger even after hormonal replacement. Interested in the time/resources that will be wasted on this farce.

None of this has any business detracting from the mission. People in these battles are focused on themselves, so much so that you already know without batting an eye that you don't want that in your foxhole or holding up your training schedule for whatever it is they need.
Whats more, is they end up being shuffled into leg army, taking college, and then managing your branch positions from some LEG garrison job because instead of going to war, they went to the brownnose side on the already fatted shelf of dumbf****s that believe the Military to be some kind of petri dish where they may dump their bacteria anywhere they want with no consequence.
I have empathy, but there are some jobs you should just not take if you have a battle inside as rife within the 1/4 of your life that is your identity. It is a personality disorder and not only are you confused, but your teammates will be doubly so.
It assisinates authority and good order and it will never work even if your hearts wish it to be so.
If we do not get sanity back into the Pentagon....

Regarding that third image "No to War" have we been at peace for the last 8 years and I did not know about it? Following the election all these idiots on th left were claiming Trump would get us involved in a war. I have been reminding these morons about the lives lost and the sacrifices still being made by our military, these people are clueless. We are not at peace and have not been at peace for a long time. We are a nation of Effin Idiots.

Ask any psychologist and they will tell you this is a mental illness...hence the suicide rates. This is something that should be screened for at MEPS.....psychological problems should be a flag for someone considering entering the military!
There are obviously those (mental disorders) that slip through but a lot of them are discovered in basic training and are discharged from service.
Stop the social engineering in the military Trump!

Lieutenant Marty changed his gender marker in the Service personnel data system from female to male after completing an approved transition plan. Lieutenant Marty has not had sex reassignment surgery as part of the transition plan and is working with his MMP on a plan to start a family. Lieutenant
Marty approached his commanding officer a few weeks ago and mentioned
he was pregnant.
It is the semi-annual swim test and a female to male transgender Service member who has fully transitioned, but did not undergo surgical change, would like to wear a male swimsuit for the test with no shirt or other top coverage.
Following her transition (which did not include any sex reassignment surgery) and gender marker change in the Service personnel data system from male to female, Petty Officer Kelleher was assigned to a Coast Guard cutter and provided quarters in female berthing. Shortly after her arrival aboard the cutter, several females in Petty Officer Kelleher's berthing area complained to the Command Senior Chief about being uncomfortable around Petty Officer Kelleher as she still has male genitalia. The Command Senior Chief approached the commanding officer with these complaints hoping to achieve some sort
of resolution.
- An initial approach to the complaints may entail meeting with the Command Senior Chief as well as the complaining members of the berthing area to determine the exact nature of their complaints. You should inform them that Petty Officer Kelleher's assignment to female berthing is required regardless of her physical appearance and that their lack of comfort is not reason to prevent Petty Officer Kelleher from residing in female berthing or make her subject to treatment different from others.
A Service member has been undergoing transition for the last three months, from male to female, and his gender marker has not been changed in the Service's personnel data system. Only the immediate chain of command is aware of this transition. The Service member desires to attend an off-post unit event dressed as a female.
