Weapons stolen from arms room at U.S. base in Stuttgart, Germany

Special agents from the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command are investigating the theft of a number of weapons and other equipment from an arms room at Panzer Kaserne in Stuttgart.

Though I was stationed at Patch Barracks nearby, I spent some quality time (drinking German beer) at Panzer back in the day when elements of the 1st Infantry Division were there.

Bad news.

So much for the quote, I think the echos might be proud, if they only knew what I have to do on this God forsaken signal less Mountain to make a post...

That doesn't look like anywhere I remember Panzer Kaserne. PK sits on top of a hill. Wonder whose arms room?

EUCOM General Removed over Extramarital Affair, Misuse of Resources

Stars and Stripes | Jul 27, 2016

Army Maj. Gen. David Haight was removed from his position as head of operations at U.S. European Command in connection with allegations that he had misused government resources while having an extramarital affair, the U.S. Army said Wednesday.

Haight was moved from his post earlier this summer and reassigned to Army headquarters in the Pentagon, a typical stopping point for senior officers under investigation...
