A normal training day consists of doing what you're told, when you're told, and how you're told. The great thing about OSUT, especially in the first several weeks, is that little thought is required. Keep your eyes and ears open and your mouth shut unless required to "sound off".

Right place, right time, right uniform. Keep your mouth shut unless specifically asked for your opinion...unless it's a rhetorical question, i.e. "Hey numbnuts, do I look like....?"

Great quote!
When I was pulling some kind of guard duty in Basic a SGM came by and talked to me for a few minutes. At the end he said "Son you be in the Right Place, Right Time and Right Uniform you'll do fine in the military"
