XM556 micro minigun

Pretty cool....if it really works. Looking forward to see if it makes trials and if it passes.

Before you buy it, you better start a healthy ammo fund to feed the beast.

Using the cheapest price per round on gunbot.net, a full minute of firing at 2,000 rounds/minute would only cost $680; at 4,000 rounds/minute, it is only $1360.

Yes sir! I guess I will only get to enjoy it by proxy by watching YouTube videos of it...

Not going to happen.

The last transferable automatic weapons in this country were built before 1987.

A few dealer samples might be made, but I can't see any being made available to individuals.

I know, I know. But a man can dream, can't he?

Yeah, it would need to be before may of 86.

Slow down the rate of fire or make it adjustable.
Make some kind of mini spade grips.
Make a comp flash hider system.
Load with 855A1.
Put on ATVs.

Or fire base support weapon.

Or, a small UAV system. Scary thought.

That's what I see could be done with it. Hand carry and firing would be really difficult and the logistical burden of ammo would be very difficult for the soldier.

Just waiting for the SOT to get LE letters for post samples. You bet a LE department is going to ask for a demo somewhere. The SOT is going to need a LOT of money to make it happen.

Whatever you do, don't call it an "assault minigun".
