Fart leads to bar fight in Key West Florida

Ok all of you combat divers who went to scuba school in Key West Florida, any comments on Sloppy Joe's Bar?

If anyone's going to be vacationing in Key West please be careful if you're planning on visiting this establishment, or at least use a little discretion about what you eat.

I went to "scuba school" in 69 and lived just up the road, in Big Pine Key, for 16yrs.. So I'm going to say I have some limited experience at SJ's..

The Setting: The building is an old Bahama/Cuban style that is open on two sides with floor to ceiling folding doors. Floor area is aprox 40 x 60 ft, with 10-12 ft ceilings. Bar is on the inside wall and small stage is on the other inside wall. Fans augment the cool breezes coming in via the open walls.

SO,, someone farts,, and a fight starts??

The Fartie had to be very very close to the Farter's point of exit, to have any effect on the ambient olfactory aromas so inhaled..

Or both were very drunk.. :]

As a point of reference: I prefer Captain Tony's bar. It is THE bar used by literary giants in past years. The clientele are more of the local breed and would fain fisticuffs over a simple human response to expelled body gases.. .

A professional would have recognized it for what it was and raised his arms three times while yelling, "Gas, gas, gas."

That could hurt your feelings!

Class of 1990. I do have some very vague and foggy recollections of Sloppy Joes.
