Another shooting in a gun free zone....
This time in the heavily gun-restrictive Kalifornia at UCLA. Live footage can be found here.
Multiple agencies involved in searching for the shooter. Reports are 2 males shot, mixed reports on whether they were killed.
ETA: Police chief confirms 2 dead, search ongoing.

I'm calling bullshitte on the "students" reports......
I'm thinking the "students" have seen one too many hollywood movies.....
And those would be bullet casings, there's no such thing as a "gun casing", or "assault" rifle.

Uh, I have several gun casings up in my garage and scattered around the house. Some are soft, some are metal and lots of 'hem are plastic. In fact I seem to get a new gun casing with each new "Assaulting Rifle" (defined as black, shrouded with plastic and may be confused as an AK47, aka AK-47 or a Glock) I buy.

It seems that we, as a country, do not agree on what the definition of "is" is, nor do we have a specification for exactly what a "mass shooting" is.

We do have a definition of a mass shooting and we have a definition of an active shooter but in this case neither apply.
What we do have mass hysteria and massive stupidity!
Let me get straight now that the chaos is over. There was pop pop and pop and then silence. More silence followed by even more silence...
Yep lock it down (translation: everyone run away), call out the national guard and every on duty and off duty cop for 100 miles, while you are at it call the FBI's HRT and before you even investigate the scene of the crime treat thousands of young and very old adults like criminals.
As a nation we have become afraid of ourselves.
This response gentleman is the definition of mass insanity!

Colleges will always be soft targets. Many are liberal bastions and will never want or allow CC on their campuses. They will reap the rewards that come with being a known "No Gun Zone."

My current institution allows for CC on campus (excepting the hospitals). I was amazed/disappointed at the ignorance of my colleagues when firearms were specifically addressed at the on-boarding orientation.

I wish more were like yours. It's hard to prevent "murder-suicides", but true mass-shootings and/or active shooter situations could certainly reap the benefits of being a CC campus.
