13 Hours

Decided to watch 13 hours today on Memorial Day. Two observations.

1. Great movie even if only moderately accurate.

2. Made me truly despise our government for hanging all those folks out to dry. That observation is made numerous times throughout the movie.

A disgusting, spineless and impeachable offense if you ask me.

obama/clinton clearly chose muslim lives over Americans lives in those hours.

Had the CINC In-extremist Force (CIF) arrived there would have been thousands of dead muslims within their weapons range and the Americans obama/clinton allowed to be slaughtered/murdered would still be alive.

And it also demonstrated we have no military "leadership" else there would have been dead muslims everywhere.

This is another reason Mr. Trump will soon be president and will make America Great Again.

TS, America has always been great. I think it would be great if we made it America again.

Hard watching good men die when no effort is made to relieve them.

For certain jobs out there, it's SOP. Anyone working in or supporting NCS (now DO) understands the ultimate price to be paid. The Book of Honor, Downey and Fecteau's 20 years stay in Chinese prison, the Stars on the Wall, and Mike Spann's sacrifice show the precedence. I appreciate the survivors MSM interview where they said they did not expect a rescue mission for them. However, they really believed there would be rescue mission for the ambassador and his staff

"Still no Americans."

Watched it tonight. My Memorial Weekend viewing was The Longest Day, We Were Soldiers, Black Hawk Down, and 13 Hours. I noticed a trend in Democrat Presidents' CiC stewardship (not necessarily leadership).

Wow, spoken like a true communist!

Have you ever been on a high risk rescue mission? Planned one? A NEO maybe? Ever been a member of a CIF? Many of us have and rescue is never out of the question, ever.
Guess you never heard of Operation Eagle Claw. Rescue in a denied area is also not out of the question.

Mike Spann and the CIA have always executed really stupid missions that get folks killed for no good reason. Really bad "example".

And no it's not SOP to just die, ever.

That is quite a logical leap. Are you telling me to vote for Sanders, TS ?

At 10:23, I don't think John "Tig" Tiegen expresses any communist sentiment when he did not expect US military to come to the aid of agency personnel. And like you and many of us, he was just as disgusted no aid comes for the embassy staff.

And Spann and Tiegen have what in common? I'm not going to go into detail but I've worked and watched Marines attempt to do Special Operations missions and was never impressed. I'm sure the CIA loves them because they do exactly what the CIA wants them to do.

If you work for an American federal agency and actually think that there's no rescue because of the mission you're conducting, you're an idiot and you've watched too many hollywood movies. But by being an idiot you could make movies and sell lots of idiot books to other idiots that believe in your idiotic views.

The American military has risked men's lives to retrieve dead bodies and you actually think we would not go the extra step to rescue live Americans? (Only when liberal morons are in office, jimmy carter and now obama are the only morons that would hold back the American military and allow Americans to die.)

I think the sentiment held by them is not that help won't eventually come, rather that adequate help won't come in time.

That can be said for tens of thousands of military missions....

If you volunteer and don't understand the risk associated then maybe you should not be playing the game.

And when you kick the hornets nest and get killed for doing so then it's just plain stupid.

Fully agree. Agency has made sure to reinforce this point and ensure everyone is fully aware of this.

I'm sure they "try"...... they probably do that briefing right after their required "sensitivity training".....

I've got very little good to say about the CIA and their operations.
