His original story stunk. They finally got him back and are in the process of charging him with desertion and they let him go again. I thought the Jarheads were tougher than that.

The article says desertion is punishable by 5 years. I thought it was closer to the firing squad or gallows or needle. To me it is desertion in the face of the enemy as well as collaborating with the enemy!!

Amazing. I wonder if he was lured away by another love affair, captured by terrorist Mormons in Utah, abducted by aliens, or all of the above. It will be interesting to see what his story is when they finally catch him again.

Catch him? He is long gone. Maybe he was an agent. We are not taking this GWOT very serious if this guy got away.
