Can anyone help identify these?
I came across this picture in an open source report the other day. They were identified as grenade launchers, but I have never seen them and was looking for help identifying them since the reporting source appears to have not id'd them correctly.

The Type 87 is described by NORINCO as "Mini Infantry Artillery". The 35 mm grenade pierces armour up to 80 mm thick and produces fragments to kill or wound personnel within 10 meters of the point of impact. The Type 87 can fire on a tripod or by using the bipod fixed on the barrel. It can also be mounted on armoured vehicles or helicopters. The launcher is capable of attacking low-flying air targets as well as targets on the ground..

Thanks so much for your help JJ and Pat. Things have been rather hectic at work with lots of late nights and my Google-fu has suffered immensely. Stay safe you all.

That works both ways. Border Patrol just needs to hire some "contractors" with some mad sniper skills....... DoD does it, State Dept does it, why not BP?
(Google 20mm Sniper Rifle, it should out distance any Mexican grenade launcher....... )

Thanks for that one TS. It was definitely the chuckle I needed after another long day. I am pretty sure that floating that suggestion up the chain would wind up with me in chains and maybe a straight jacket at the same time. I do owe my continued existence to my adversaries being unable to shoot their way out of a wet paper bag with a hole in it on more occasions than any of my family ever wants to hear about so we still have that going for us.
