“The first step is admitting you have a problem.”

The denial is very, very strong...some might say almost suicidal in many political elites as regards border and immigration issues.

Will our folks watch and learn from the obvious mess in Europe ?

So far, too many folks appear to remain in denial - and it starts at the top - the WH in particular.

The issue here is that they are not importing g enough. If they would only be more welcoming then this never would have happened. I feel sorry for the oppressed Muslims that were driven to this desperate act.

Sad, angry....

and then the toolbag has to have the spin doctors write a response.

“The President was apprised this morning of the explosions in Brussels, Belgium. U.S. officials have been and will continue to be in close contact with their Belgian counterparts, and we will provide additional information and updates as we are able to do so,” a White House official told POLITICO.

A statement by U.S. president [nameless] is expected later today.

Hell Tony, I don't think the leadership is in denial at all.
They accept some refugees/immigrants/migrants/undocumented illegals, their bleeding heart base loves them, they get to spend some more tax money on welfare programs, increase their voting base AND they never have to actually rub elbows with this dirty foreign rabble. Its a win, win!

You make a VERY sound argument for radically new leadership.

The safety of the people has been traded for keeping elites in office - the people have been sold on the magic of multiculturalism and open borders - and sold out as regards public policy regarding such fundamental issues as safety and the economy.

Roll on November !

AMEMB Brussels message to Americans there: shelter in place, avoid public transportation. http://1.usa.gov/1RwUkVq

Yeah, that is only sustainable for hours at most.

Not counting the immigrant issue, this attack reverberates throughout the West due to the transportation targets hit. The disruption at other airports due heightened security and the temporary closure of BRU makes this a much higher payoff target than Stade de France or Bataclan.

I would be interested in hearing from anyone traveling by air domestically or internationally in the next 24-48 hours as to changes in security.

You seem to be working under the presumption that our leaders posses the capacity and desire to learn.
I would posit that they possess neither.

Concur.

The people (the other folks) must watch thier "leadership" and not sit out this coming election cycle.

This could be expected after Saleh Abdeslam who was the mastermind of the Paris attacks was captured near Brussels last week. Europe isn't going to be able to sustain attacks like these and have a secure future. In addition to the loss of life and property, they are also going to lose millions of Euros in tourist revenue. I think we are eventually going to see a strong response from the right.

If there weren't any Christians there then there would not be any problems.

...not sure how that is going to work out.

Anytime you see ANY response from the right, it is quickly poked at with accusations of bigotry, racism, and intolerance.
