Ben Carson, who dropped out of the Republican presidential race just last week, will endorse front-runner Donald Trump on Friday.
Trump confirmed the endorsement during the Republican presidential debate Thursday night.
The retired neurosurgeon plans to hold a press conference at 9 a.m. ET Friday to announce his support, sources told Fox News.

I saw the press conference this morning - very impressive! I said a few weeks ago that I thought I saw a pivot in Trump to the more thoughtful "Presidential" persona and indeed it is.

I like Carson, he is intelligent and he like Trump breaks the mold on what we have had to choose from for as long as I can remember.....shape shifter politicians and lawyers.

Saw Dr. Carson speak this morning during a late breakfast. Articulate as always, but even more passionate as to his motive and quite successfully deflected a couple of attempts to derail his focus, keeping it on the reason for the event, what he was saying and why. With a mouthful of Louisiana-Hot Sauce'd omelette in my mouth I remember thinking specifically that would be a Dem nightmare-sweat of a ticket.

Wow...
I have not been a fan of Trump, though I'm going to re-think my opinion and views of Trump.
The unwillingness that Dr. Carson had to getting up in the faces of others because if his religious background was giving me a lot of pause, and some level of disappointment.
Carson is a very solid thinker, and I'd love to see Trump bolstered by Carson.
What I'm looking forward to is Hitlery getting into a debate with someone articulate and a solid thinker.

Yes. I'm hedging my bets - as the protestors may have already experienced full frontal lobotomy - the doctor might have to triage...many protestors may even require a complete implant.

It's not a major procedure anymore there; they can probably do that with an NG tube. Ya know, when ya do alot of 'em... economy of scale & all that.
In the real value-added department, I spoke tonight to someone who likes to refer to themselves as a GDI ( "I'm not liberal, I'm a gd independent!" with as much vigor as they can). They told me straight out they liked alot of things Carson said when running and that if Trump-Carson became a ticket they would vote that in a NY f'instant. They are anti-dynasty for either party & will not vote for a socialist (She's a retired cold-warrior & is smart enough to brush aside Trump's comments regarding women as campaign-bluster.) She had started the conversation by asking me whether I thought the Republican party had let down everyone as much as the Democrats. So after picking myself off the floor in hysterical laughter & wiping the coffee off the table...

Very interesting.
Carson is a thoughtful man who obviously impressed a number of folks - even if they did not see him as THE choice. He brought a great deal to the table this primary season and Carson's endorsement will provide food-for-thought for many.
