AR price/availability trends?

Since the government's answer to Islamic terrorism in the U.S. trends towards gun control, is the talk impacting the market yet?

Has another panic rush on ARs begun? Are prices and availability changing yet?

And where is the best place to get a BCM MID16 Mod 2?

I'm always looking and I don't see any price spikes in my area.

If you look on AR15.com in the sales exchange sub-fora, you can see that the market is pretty stable. Someone is always looking to make a killing, but deals can be had.

Ebay is another venue to look. The history of sold parts is a good gauge of market price. They can't sell completed uppers or lowers, but you get a real good selection of the basic needs for a build. (barrels, forearms, sights, ect...)

Another area I look is the Florida Gun Trader. (look to see if you have one for your state) FGT is nice, in that you see real local prices, and can sometimes make some real good purchases.

Additionally, My email has been flooded lately with "deals" from the different on-line sites. Most for parts.

My $00.000002

BCM AR and Pricing

Just received an email from BCM announcing several "sale" items, which is really just free shipping. This is their 16 inch Recce...

A local shop had a pair of COLT LE6920 with Magpul Muddy Girl furniture, with a selling price of $825.00 which I thought was okay. The pink furniture can be sold off and replaced with something else, it can be painted, or left as-is. Here's an example on GB:

I choose BCM over COLT, but at such a cost difference, it would make a decent extra rifle.
