Lebanon seizes 2 tons of amphetamine being smuggled on Saudi prince's private jet

A Saudi prince and four others have been arrested after Beirut authorities foiled one of the country's largest drug smuggling attempts, seizing two tons of amphetamine Captagon pills and cocaine before they were loaded onto the prince's private plane.
Prince Abdel Mohsen Bin Walid Bin Abdulaziz and the other Saudi citizens will be questioned by Lebanon’s customs authority, a source told News.com.au.
Captagon is the brand name for the amphetamine phenethylline, a synthetic stimulant. The banned drug is consumed mainly in the Middle East and has reportedly been used by ISIS in Syria.
Captagon manufacturing thrives in Lebanon and war-torn Syria, which have become a gateway for the drug to the Middle East, particularly the Gulf.
The U.N. Office of Drugs and Crime said in a 2014 report that the amphetamine market is on the rise in the Middle East, with busts mostly in Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Syria accounting for more than 55 percent of amphetamines seized worldwide.

I know there was a recent crucifixion in Saudi Arabia for political protest...so what does Sharia Law demand as punishment for drug trafficking?

Like here in the US...the laws mainly apply to the peasantry with some exceptions.
We shall see, but I won't hold my breath.
Modern day berserkers...nah!

I wonder if this has potential to be an indicator of the health/well being of the House of Saud and it's exponentially increasing royal family of parasites?
Analysis on the totality of the House of Saud would be interesting to see from say a 50 year perspective 1965-2015.
I would posit a guess that the money machine that Saudi crude produces will be increasingly stressed to provide for the wants and needs of it's top tier parasites.
I've read/heard somewhere that lower levels of the House of Saud are having to reach lower for income streams(such as increasing standover tactics against foreign small business operators in Saudi).
I wonder if the hubris of invulnerability amongst the Saudi royals combined with the scramble for cash flow is leading the House of Saud from an environment of infinite largesse to one that resembles that of an islamic Sopranos/ Uday Hussein environment of open criminal activity.
Maybe a bit like the Serengeti. Everyone kinda gets along when the water's flowing, but when the dry season hits, the fangs come out.
Maybe the Prince's jet will develop a catastrophic malfunction while he is onboard.

Captagon is pretty strong stuff. Probably make khat like caffeinated bubble gum
How long until it reaches here? Brought back by Joes?
I remember when spice and bathsalts were the favorite pass time snacks for the rear d at Bragg. That died down quickly. I guess seeing Joe's roommate poop his pants then jump out of the barracks window somehow served as deterrent
