Fine hunk of steel...they really fire nicely on full auto due to the arms weight...just lays there.

I remember the 1st time I picked one up. I thought I'd gone to heaven. The old Thompson was a fantasy of mine. I loved all the old WW II movies and Vic Morrow in COMBAT TV shows.

The freaking thing weights a tonne,, well something like 12-14 lbs loaded.. Sure, there is little recoil but I quickly found out I could carry an M-14 with way more ammo, and it was lighter and more effective..

Just a wonderful design. There is something about that particular angle of grip that makes the weapon so wonderfully ergonomic. The P08 Luger has it as well as the Browning Medalist .22 and I feel those are the three handsomest guns ever made.

Looks like in this listing the police are looking to trade or sell the entire evidence inventory. Not sure I would take that deal.

I am not sure about the legality of it, but if it is seized property they generally can sell it off from my experience. As far as guns go I know that after the Brady Bill passed they took to melting down all our retired guns and selling them for scrap and we had the option of purchasing them wrenched from our hands. I guess they could trust us to carry them, but not so much to own them afterwards as we might use them for untoward purposes. Not that I was fond of the Italian boat anchor, but it did have sentimental value that made me want to buy it.

From my understanding of your TSA question, if you abandon your knife, multi-tool, machete etc.... with them they put them in a bin and sell them as scrap metal.
