Gunfighter Lullaby is a tribute to the men and women who have served this nation honorably in every service throughout every era--from the Revolutionary War to the Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and all the conflicts in between. BoneS Fork is a band of veterans. We've been inspired and humbled by our predecessors and, ultimately, drawn to serve the United States of America, in part, to repay some of that which was done for us. Independence, we remind ourselves, was not simply declared. It was fought for. "Gunfighter" isn't a popular word, but we don't use it for dramatic effect. We call our brothers- and sisters-in-arms by what they were, what they are, and what they'll likely continue to be--gunfighters (at least in one aspect). The courage required to engage in a gunfight, on purpose, face-to-face, for someone else's benefit is both remarkable and rare. For this reason and many others, we're forever awestruck by the veterans of this nation who went before us, those alongside whom we served, and those who will fill the spaces in the ranks we left behind. Thank you, Veterans! We love you.
