So as a parent do you put the gun in your mouth or hers???
Another obama voter is born!!!!!!!!!! And my question is who is the complete failure, her, parents or both? (I'm thinking both and they should all be removed from the gene pool ASAP!!!) The No Responsibility Generation speaks!
College student blames parents after she blows $90G college fund
Published July 19, 2015
·FoxNews.com
This college student deserves an “F” in accounting after she blew through a $90,000 college fund on expensive clothes and a trip to Europe and now has no way to pay for her senior year, a predicament she blames on her parents.
The 22-year-old woman detailed her financial woes on an Atlanta FM-radio show whose wisecracking hosts derided her spendthrift ways and whose listeners belittled on Twitter as the millennial who was giving millennials a bad name. Kim, who did not mention her last name or her school, told “The Bert Show” that it was all her parents fault for not showing her how to manage her money.
“Maybe they should have taught me how to budget a little better, a little more carefully,” she told the show the other day. “They never sat me down and had a real serious talk about it. They said, ‘Here’s your college fund, it’s for classes only.’”

She is just going to have to cool her heels and hope Bernie Sanders is elected POTUS, he will see that we, the taxpayer pay for her final year. Of course graduating from college will not make her any smarter than she already is. There is no cure for stupid.

Experience is the best teacher. And for her, working to pay for classes won't be as bad as eating peanut butter and crackers.

"Here's your college fund. It's for classes only." Now you're broke. Lesson learned?

To me it sounds like she received an excellent education......
...in how things that come easy/free are rarely appreciated.
...and that life isn't filled with money trees, most never see even one in their lives.
I wonder how well she would have looked after that $90K if she had earned it herself?

Laughing, and crying.
My kids will rise to the top given the competition.
And then they will financially support the clueless horde.

When I read the story the other day and saw her comment that her parents had been working forever and they have a retirement fund that they should have tapped into for her, my vote was her mouth was plenty big enough for a 155mm barrel. Blaming the parents is not fair because you can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink. Kind of like you can give a kid a near 6 figure college fund but you can't make them not spend it on spring break and other non-essentials if they suffer from cranius rectus.

Exactly what is there to have a serious talk about? Their instructions are quite clear. If she couldn't understand "Here's your college fund, it's for classes only," then she certainly wouldn't have understood one word of this additional "serious talk" she says she should have gotten.
The parents failed. They are her primary educators, regardless of what school system she is/was a part of.
Sounds like she is a child that has experienced very little in the way of consequences. In another time or place, a mistake of this magnitude would have removed her genes from the pool. Unfortunate that this isn't still the case, and even more unfortunate that society as a whole seems to be trending toward the same foolishness.
Trickle-down imbecility at its best.
