The Blackwater guards hired by DOS have been convicted and got long sentences for the Aug 2007 incident:

I was at Taji COIN CFE at the time and saw the raw footage that was on the SIPER side. No excuse for their actions - they deserve what they got. Had they been DOD contractors they would have been convicted by 2008. Had they been a green-suiter they would all have served 7 years in Leavenworth by now.
