I am so fucking confused right now...

We have a government that LOVES the idea of legalizing drugs that is now mired in a scandal because the DRUG eNforcement aGency is hanging out with drug dealers. These DRUG guys need to be punished for drinking and partying with drug dealers.
Meanwhile, where are we at in that vote to legalize recreational drug use in a few more states?

We have an administration that HATES guns that has gone out of their way to keep a gunrunning scandal by the aLcohol, tObacco and FIREARMS folks from getting any public scrutiny. The FIREARMS dudes apparently did nothing wrong when they funneled FIREARMS to Mexican criminals. They then put the gun-running guy in charge of the agency that prevents gun running.

We have an administration that fired a general over a rolling stone article that clearly indicated that he cultivated a command climate that was disrespectful of civilian leadership...
...a general that was overtly involved in deceiving a military family over the death of a service member and then less than a week after closing the case they hired the general to do run a government program that advocates for military families.

They hired a general to run the CIA and fired him for banging a junior officer, then prosecuted him for mismanagement of classified information, but essentially let him off with a harsh warning and the removal of his security clearance, but has been using him as an advisor to the National Security Council and the Obama administration on Iraq and ISIS since last summer.

We have an administration that hired a disabled veteran to run the VA...
...into the ground and then let him quit instead of firing him.

We have an administration that is investigating the secret service for crashing a car into a car barrier at the white house...
...not long after they got in trouble for letting a guy get past guards and guard dogs so he could get into the white house
...not long after they had their own booze and hooker scandal in south America



Can someone help explain to me what in the fuck is going on in America?

You know, the term "hypocrisy" as used in the New Testament was originally a Greek word (which makes sense, as the New Testament was originally written in Greek). The term came from Greek drama, as a hypocrite was an actor on the theater stage. As an actor pretends to be someone other than himself, "hypocrites" was applied metaphorically to a person who acts a part in real life, pretending to be better than he actually was.

A rather fitting term, I would say.
