Super Bowl Security
Living close to the University of Phoenix stadium is amusing. 2nd Super Bowl and you would not believe the "Security".
So far we have:
NEST (Nuclear emergency search team)
FBI
DHS
The X Men
FEMA
DHS
Professional "Contract Security" (blackwater?)
The Justice League
DOJ
Mobile Water Boarding Units (disguised as ESPN trucks) have also been deployed at the East and West Parking lots.
DHS
25% of all Arizona state law enforcement assets
Arizona National Guard
Jack Bauer
Blackhawks & F-16's
Luke AFB is running air defense missions (no really)
DHS
Arizona Fusions centers are running at 125%
(Captain America declined to attend due to his dislike of either team )
Federal radiation detection teams
HAZMAT teams
NSA has set up 200 fake cell towers around the stadium and is capturing all electronic transmissions.
Every politician (and billionaire) will be escorted by a member of SEAL Team Six or Delta Force.
63 federal DHS "snipers" were deployed last week and are currently in Super Bowl "hides". The media was asked not to
film these hides.
Running short on federal SWAT teams, the Dept. of Education was asked to deploy their SWAT team to guard the Gov of Arizona at the game.
A team of federal judges are on stand-by to issue warrants on a first come first call basis. Their HQ is a closely guarded secret but we have intel that they will be stationed at a local Irish Pub close to the stadium.
The NFL has placed a "kill on sight" order for anyone selling counterfeit NFL jerseys. US Customs agents will be executing the kill orders, taking their orders directly from NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell to fulfill the NFL's anti- counterfeit mission.
The Secret Service (in cooperation with the NSA) plans to publish all out of town private Escort services phone numbers for game weekend.
The Arizona National Guard in conjunction with the CIA will deploy 20 armed drones will be conducting an air-cap within a 20mile radius of the Univ of Phoenix Stadium.
More to follow.......

Ben Franklin never attended a Super Bowl

The real joke is how much of the taxpayers money we're spending for this friggin ballgame......
Trust me, it's the only time you actually "see" a real federal/state and local police presence on the west side of Phoenix...... Couple of days prior there will be twenty state troopers within a two mile radius of the stadium on constant patrol. Game day, maybe a hundred of them.
The teams playing will have a vehicle escort that will put any world leaders convoy to shame.
Everyone entering the game will have gone through security checkpoints that would make the Israelis cringe.
Just makes me wonder how much we're spending on "security".......
Anything for a false sense of security.......

Rumor is that it is costing Glendale more than they will make, since Phoenix and Scottsdale are where most of the attendees will be staying.

That's been the trend for years. Before the Super bowl, Indianapolis crowed about how much money was going to come in and the city and state would make a ton....after.....*crickets*.
LINK
INDIANAPOLIS -
The final numbers are in. It turns out the city's Capital Improvement Board lost more money than it expected hosting Super Bowl XLVI.
CIB president Ann Lathrop calls it a small financial loss that was well worth the investment.
Monday afternoon, Lathrop said the CIB took in nearly $2.9 million more in hospitality taxes the first two months of this year over last year, which was just four percent below projections.
"We were off a little bit in hotel motel taxes, but were over in food and beverage and auto rental," Lathrop said.
With expenses slightly more than projected, the CIB wound up losing roughly a million dollars hosting the Super Bowl - or $250,000 more than expected.
The single biggest expense it incurred was paying for the added police and fire protection.

Why not send the bill to the NFL? They certainly could afford it...

OH NO!!!! We couldn't do that to our Nations Heroes.
I frigging HATE football, and the jack@sses that live vicariously threw "their team",all because they couldn't make anything of themselves and now have to have someone else make them feel like a winner.

Scottsdale is where most of the rich and shameless live, it's also where all the restaurants and entertainment is at.....
Glendale? Glendale is for the snowbirds and old folks.....
Glendale does not even head up security and the U of Phoenix is in their town..... I've been here about a dozen years and have probably eaten in a Glendale restaurant maybe twice (and I think the Reaper was with me both times)....... Glendale is dead.
The only reason the stadium was built there was Glendale had enough land to build it on....... that area was all "farm fields" before the stadium. And you cannot build east of Phoenix unless you ask the Indians, so you have to go west....
