...Sources confirmed many SF soldiers had already been angrily venting on professionalsoldiers.com and Facebook about their hatred for the PSYOP symbol.
How did they know you were going to post this article BMT?

Hey, the key word in Psychological Operations Specialist is "Operator."

Er...umm...

Never mind.

Once again Duffle Blog snatches the prize for quality reporting! I would be LMAO except there’s way too much truth in this; especially when one takes into account how butt-hurt they get when somebody with a real job refers to them as “enablers”. In fact - I'll bet that SGM the article quotes could be goaded into a full blown coronary if you used enabler in a briefing. The bigger, higher ranking the target audience, the more spectacularly it would happen.

A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear.

TR we have some of our guys calling themselves OPERATOR too. So you're on an ODA and you're an Operator. Okay I see your Operator Additional Skill Identifier (ASI).

Peregrino you are 1000% right, Dufflebag doesn't write just to be writing. There is some truth and RUMINT behind what is being said here. They, their Command and below, want to be everything we have with out the time nor effort. Since 18 Series were removed they have had guys come up their ranks thinking they are more than what they are. Mainly, IMO, is because most of them were SFQC wash outs that ended up over there and never tried going back to SFAS. I guess being butt will lead a group of people to act this way. Oh way yeah....

Billy we need to make that tab but for SF pretty soon too. Just saying.

Aye, and it's past time that we recognized said crack troops with the appropriate fashion accessories. I suggest a new beret. There are many colors, yet to be claimed, that can be considered. Magenta, Lavendar, chartreuse--so many possibilities.

Perhaps matching earrings as well;

You took my favorite line from it -- "I’m just looking forward to the [Civil Affairs] Master Well Digger Badge.”

SIGINT listed my MOS as operator -- of course, it came with those Godforsaken earphones and a long "electronic warfare signal intelligence voice...." in front of it.
