Son Tay, 21 Nov 1970
Colonel Bull Simons and his men raided Son Tay, North Vietnam in an attempt to rescue American POWs on November 21, 1970, 44 years ago.
Because as Colonel Simons, said, "This is something American prisoners have a right to expect from their fellow Soldiers."
Those warriors are getting older now, and many are gone.

I woke up early one morning and looked out the barracks window and saw them loading up several duce and a half's full of gear. We didn't know until a few months later what they were up to.
