Gunman In Saudi Arabia Kills American Defense Contractor
WaPo, 14 Oct 2014

A gunman in Saudi Arabia opened fire Tuesday on three American defense contractors, killing one and wounding another before being arrested after a shootout with police, U.S. and Saudi officials said.

The Saudi Interior Ministry named the suspect as Abdulaziz Fahad Abdulaziz Alrashid, 24, a dual U.S.-Saudi citizen born in Washington state.

Despite initial fears that the incident might have been terrorism related, the ministry statement indicated that the shooting stemmed from a workplace dispute.

Workplace violence is a real probability in this case, especially in light of the culture. Given the murder and attempted murder, wonder how the Saudis will treat the preceding drug charges? They're not noted for looking the other way when ordinary citizens are involved. The dual citizenship aspect is interesting. Makes me wonder if the DoS will try to keep him from getting his head lopped off.

Bottom Line - I think concealed carry is a prudent choice every responsible adult should carefully consider.

A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear.
