Army Issue Rucksack for SFAS
As a college student, I could only afford an ALICE pack to practice rucking, but I have saved some money and want to get a MOLLE system that mirrors what I will be using at SFAS.
I have been trying to do my research and figure out what rucksacks are permitted for use at Selection, but information is either outdated or not definitive. I did not see anything in AR 670-1, but I am not sure if that information would be in there.
My question are:
1.) What is/are the current MOLLE rucksack(s) allowed for use at SFAS?
2.) In your opinion, which one is best (assuming there are multiple options)?
3.) From what I have garnered, one cannot modify a rucksack that is used during Selection. Is that correct?
As always, thank you for taking the time to answer.

Thank you for the link, Pete. That helped clear part of my search.
I suppose the biggest mystery is knowing which MOLLE pack they are using? I see many websites claiming to sell the "official" army pack, but I know some are just using it as a marketing tool. I just want to train with the closest pack as possible.
Here is an example: http://www.amazon.com/Official-Milit...rucksack+molle

Looks just like the one they sell in clothing sales. Course you could try this one: http://store.oldgrouch.biz/acumoiiru.html. It'll be a lot closer to the one you'll be issued (if you make it that far) because it's used and already has that "trashed" look only equipment that comes from CIF or the GIF has.

There are days when I could almost be enticed to feel ashamed of myself. (Today isn't one of them.)
