Return to Mogadishu - A ranger goes back to retrace his experience in 1993

This is a short film I saw today that I thought was pretty moving. Sgt Struecker, a Ranger who fought in Mogadishu (black hawk down) returns to the scene 20 years later.

He offers a lot of insight. It's a hell of a thing.

Thanks for sharing that, it was pretty amazing to get a first hand account of the battle there.

Had the pleasure of meeting Chaplain Strueker in 03. you don't see many chaplains around with all the trimmings. Best part was that he was still all about the soldiers and morale.

I knew of him in 3/75 in the late 80s and early 90s, but I too bumped into Jeff at Firebase Shkin in Jan 03. Had a good talk with him and he was a motivational force for the company of 82d at the base. He was a Airplane Gang Chaplain at that time.
