Over the past decade of war, elite SOF units and conventional combat units have had to learn to work together on joint missions.

This is so much Crap. What do people think has been happening with VSO, at JRTC adn even NTC. Special Forces have been intergrated into the CTC training "Patch Chart" for years.

Writting IMO just to make news and spin something up.

He doesn't know what we have been doing.

He was with another organization.

As far as he knows, we are the house cleaners.

In Iraq our company had the opportunity to run missions with SF. My company comander said "We're not gonna be QRF for SF." They were out catching guys and we were running around putting up traffic barriers at all hours of the night...

There are lies and damned lies; then there's anything published by a media outlet. Personally, I'm far more comfortable when "leadership" sticks with the first two.

A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear.

This reminds me of a particular JRTC memory, where an enterprising ODA, integrated with infantry uplift and coordinating with GPF counterparts, completely massacred the OPFOR and derailed days of 'dilemmas' for the BDE. We're already integrated, sir.

Hopefully just not too much...
