Dog Tag Brewing pays tribute to combat casualties

Dog Tag Brewing pays tribute to combat casualties

http://www.fayobserver.com/military/...aa89216cd.html

"A brewery making inroads into North Carolina is using its product to honor fallen troops, including several Fort Bragg soldiers.

Each can of Dog Tag Brewing beer features the name, hometown and life span of a fallen soldier or Marine, officials with the brewery said.

The company donates 5 percent of its sales to charities chosen by the families of those honored on the cans.

Of a dozen troops featured on Dog Tag's camouflage cans, five were based at Fort Bragg when they were killed in either Iraq or Afghanistan.

Four of the five served with the 82nd Airborne Division. The other soldier was part of the 3rd Special Forces Group...."

Hm, Grapes and Hops is pretty close. Might have to pick up a six pack and give it a try.

I'll buy the first case I see in PA. I'll ask at the beer store if Dog Tag is available up here yet.

I see that one of the warriors being honored is SSG Christopher Falkel.

I may have a new favorite craft brewery.

Correct.

Although I love the packaging, the beer was a bit of a disappointment.

YMMV.

I don't think I would go so far to say it was a disappointment.

I got the lager and just can't put my finger of it. It tastes good (OK) somewhere in the Yuengling range. Comes down in price a bit I may buy another six pack.

Maybe I just don't expect much in American canned beer.
